Well. Since the last post, I have graduated, moved out of my apartment, moved in with 4 boys, cleaned their apartment (several times), had a bachelorette party, had a bridal shower, traveled to Colorado for the first time, and signed an apartment lease with my future hub. Phew! Typing that made me tired.
There is 3 weeks exactly until the wedding. Seriously, where did the time go? I got my engagement ring soldered to my wedding bands this past week, and it looks beautiful. I am bummed that I don't get to wear it for another 3 weeks. I feel like I just put it on my finger for the first time a few months ago! Definitely doesn't seem like 2 years. I am really thankful for all the people (especially my mom) who have supported K & I through this. But I am ready to get it done :) And definitely ready to be soakin up the sun in Jamaica!
We had my bachelorette party last friday and it was a blast! I have the best friends. (Normally I hate when people say that-how could anyone possibly know that they have the best friends? But I absolutely have the best friends, for me :))
Today was my bridal shower-awesome. It was so fun to have everyone come together and just hang out. We got some awesome gifts too! One of my favorites was one of those signs that says a word but it's made out of photographs. It says K's last name, and I am SO glad we got it because I have been wanting one for like 4 years and could never find one because his last name is so freakin long. An added bonus-all the pictures that make up the letters are ones that have been taken at Iowa State or in Cedar Rapids. We also got all of the animal utensils that I've been wanting forever. K will hate them, but at least I will have fun while I cook!
We signed an apartment lease on Wednesday in Loveland, Colorado. I am actually pretty excited, because our apartment is absolutely beautiful. I will admit that I am a bit nervous to move to a completely different state, but I have faith that it will be fine. K will help me adjust and will make it fun! We're starting to take visitor requests now... :)
